“I was so impressed with them individually and as a group. They are flexible and intelligent, they listen, ask relevant questions, and Gigi is as smooth a multi-tasker as you are likely to meet. I may buy a “fixer upper“ just so I can hire them!”
“They came out to do foundation repair on my home, after being highly recommended by a close friend. Their crew was prompt, showed up on time, worked the whole day through, and cleaned up after themselves before they left. Their pricing was competitive, and they delivered everything they said they would.”
“We had our house entirely rebuilt. The quality of workmanship and materials used were very high. They take great pride in their work. Collaborating with them was a great experience. They were very considerate of our neighbors, which is not always typical of other companies. Now we’re lovin’ where we’re livin’!”

Oakland Hills homeowners are fortunate to have one of the Bay Area’s best design and construction companies right on their doorstep. “Gigi“ Lorick works in and around Montclair, where she has remodeled at least 60 homes during the past 10 years.
Originally from Southern California, Gigi began her career as a Scenic Designer for Paramount, Disney and many other studios. After 12 years and an Academy Award, she became disillusioned. She wanted to build beautiful structures that were not torn apart months later. Her designs are creative, visually pleasing, and financially affordable.
Having both design and construction combined in one company means a more coordinated experience for the homeowner, and one that’s easier to manage. Gigi’s company offers three distinct program stages: first, a feasibility study that presents what is possible, given the property and the homeowners’s budget; next, the construction plans, including necessary city permits and documents; and finally, the contract which clearly details Lorick’s construction schedule in a way that uniintimidating and easy to understand.
At every stage. the homeowner has all the information to make informed decisions. There is never anything to lose, since at the very least they aßre left with a design for future use.
“Our “deposit“ to start a million dollar job is only $1,000,” Gigi explains. “We therefore eliminate the fear associated with handing $30,000 to somebody you don’t know, and then being left wondering what’s happening. We bill on a weekly basis, and only on work completed. “
“We do everything in our power to make your remodeling experience as easy as possible, while giving you the living space you always wanted.”
