The name Roberts Electric has been passed down through generations of East Bay families who have been depending on this full-service electrical contractor since 1895.

“We make sure we take good care of all our customers,” says owner Dan Pitcock. Roberts began as a gas lamp manufacturer at the turn of the last century, and evolved into electrical construction in the early 1900’s.

Today, RECO is a full-service electrical contracting company, with about 50% of their business coming from residential customers in the East Bay.

“People like us because we have an aesthetic approach. We try to make everything as neat as possible, and we patch and cover any holes we have to make. Our electricians wear latex booties, and put down drop cloths to protect the work area.”

A graduate of UC Berkeley (Class of ‘83), Dan has completed interior and exterior lighting design courses through the Illuminating Engineering Society, and at UC Berkeley.

He and his licensed electricians will help you design and install everything from recessed and track lighting, to landscape lighting and motion detectors.

As part of their routine electrical work, they install new service upgrades, including undergrouding, and change fuse-based systems to circuit breakers.

They can run 240-volt wiring for heavy-duty home appliances like dryers, ranges, and air conditioners, and they can move or put in new electrical outlets.

They also wire hot tubs, exhaust fans, electrical heating and air conditioning power systems, and do all forms of remodeling.

They have a full-time office person to answer your questions and schedule appointments.

“We’ve been serving the East Bay for a very long time,” says Dan. “ We recognize that we are being invited into people’s homes to improve their quality of life.

“We always strive to deliver the best in customer service.”
