  • “They gave us a spectacular living room with a huge entertainment center, cabinets, and a bar with a wine fridge. Our friends come in here and their mouths just fall open. They have wonderful ideas, are honest, and are fine people. I feel like I’m living in a new house!”

  • “They freshened up our kitchen and shelving, and also did some custom cabinetry in our living room. They were incredibly detailed in their planning and execution, and it was excellent. I would certainly recommend them!”

You don’t have to rip out your entire kitchen to bring it up to date—a quick cosmetic make-over may be all you need. New cabinet facings and new countertops can give you the look of a new kitchen, without the cost and inconvenience of a complete remodel.

KDG Refacing can help you revitalize a kitchen that’s become hopelessly outdated—all those orange Formica counters, avocado green appliances, and dark oak cabinets which scream 1970’s (or 60’s or 50’s). By working with your existing cabinets and only refacing or replacing visible parts like the doors and drawer fronts, they can transform your kitchen in about a week (compared to months for a full-scale remodel).

“A complete kitchen tear-out and remodel costs at least $40,000, and can easily go to $50,000,” says vice-president of marketing, Robin Hampton.

“We can put a new face on your old kitchen for much less. We have refaced and updated hundreds of kitchens over the last 20 years.”

“We specialize in top-quality finish work—everything from a wide variety of doors styles, to the best hardware and the finest lacquer, paint and staining. We stand behind all our workmanship.”

You can replace your cabinet doors, drawers and drawer fronts in a wide variety of fine woods and finishes, then top them with a new custom countertop in economical laminates, solid surface materials like Corian, Avonite, or granite.

Everything is custom fabricated to your exact specifications at their 6,000 sq. ft. facility in Redwood City. Their team of craftspeople complete the installation at your home, under the supervision of your designer and customer service representative.

Refacing won’t cure a kitchen whose work flow is fundamentally flawed, or whose cabinets were badly designed in the first place. (KDG also builds new custom cabinets). But if your kitchen simply needs a face lift, refacing is the way to go.
