  • “Both my wife and I go to Dr. Stangeland. He’s always willing to work with us. My wife broke a crown on a Friday morning, and Dr Stangeland was able to see her that afternoon, so her weekend wasn’t ruined. He and his staff take great care of us.”

  • “I’d had some bad experiences with dentists when I was younger. Dr. Stangeland was very considerate. I never felt tense or uncomfortable with him. I’ve never had a health care provider who’s taken such good careof me or my family. He and his staff take a personal interest in everybody who comes in. They are truly exceptional.”

  • “I grind my teeth, and my teeth were deteriorating— so Dr. Stangeland had to cap every single tooth in my mouth. It was a huge job, but the quality of his work is absolutely superb. I now get compliments on my teeth all the time! Everyone in his office is pleasant, and fun to be around. They made a huge ordeal very easy.”

“I was born to be a dentist,” says Dr. Ross Stangeland. “I love medicine, art, and science. Dentistry combines all these skills, so I feel that I’m blessed to be able to do what I do.”

Dr. Stangeland has been practicing dentistry on the Peninsula since 1971. He specializes in family dentistry, with a focus on reconstructive and cosmetic dentistry.

“Even after 30 years, I’m still very excited about dentistry,” he says. “New technological advances are being made every day. It’s wonderful to see someone go from hiding their smile to showing a big, toothy grin!”

Dr. Stangeland, his office staff, and three hygienists do everything they can to ensure a pleasant, pain-free experience. Their warm, relaxed manner helps reduce (or eliminate) anxiety and fear. They offer nitrous oxide, stereo headphones…even a tiny, intra-oral video for patients who want to see on a video screen what Dr. Stangeland’s doing to their teeth.

“Courtesy, sympathy, and a calm bedside manner are the best ways to reassure patients,” he explains. “We take the time with each individual patient to clearly explain what we need to do, and why we need to do it.”

As well as being a great dental “mechanic” who can straighten bent partials and save broken bridgework, Dr. Stangland is a competent artist. He can quickly sketch pictures to show patients what’s going on with their teeth. He also creates plaster models so that patients can clearly see what their new veneers and crowns will look like before he starts work.

“My staff and I are always updating our education,” he says. “We also embrace any new technologies which make sense, like the micro-filtration system we use to sterilize all our water. I’ve also been offering all-porcelain (metal-free) dentistry for more than 15 years.”

You know you can’t put off going to the dentist forever. At. And if you don’t have dental insurance coverage, Dr. Stangeland offers payment programs, including 0% financing.
